Final Edition: Webinar The Art of Hospitality for Restaurants in the Caribbean

Restaurants as we know vary greatly in appearance and offerings, including a wide variety of cuisines and service models ranging from inexpensive fast food restaurants and cafeterias to mid-priced family restaurants, to high-priced luxury establishments. People are constantly looking for new taste experiences and Caribbean food provides a fresh and exciting alternative to other foods from around the world.

The Caribbean region is a melting pot of cultures and ethnicities whose influences are taken from Indian, African, Chinese, French, Amerindian, Portuguese, and British heritage. No two islands are the same and it is this element of choice and diversity that really allows the cuisine to stand out.

With this in mind COSME is organizing an online seminar (webinar) to address among others the topics such as Restaurants – international aspects to take into account; Etiquette in the Caribbean (and the rest of the world); Quality and Customer Service; Types of Restaurants; Target groups, Customers Vs Customers; Type of hygiene standard/certificates that has to be in place; Impact on Revenue; Future of Food and Hospitality; The Golden Plates Award.
The webinar will focus on giving the SMEs the ins-and-outs of the restaurant business – required skills, experience, background, qualifications, and training needed but also their approach to the business as it is one of the major sectors of the Tourism industry.
Developing a successful Restaurant business in the Caribbean requires an understanding of the market but also the different aspects of the business and business in general.
