Successful speed dating session between employers and young professionals on Bonaire
On February 14th 2025 the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with WeConnect and Team, organized a successful interactive session in which employers and young professionals discussed the recruitment process. In the form of speed dates, topics such as remigration, work culture, career opportunities and recruitment & supply were discussed.
Eight companies from different sectors that have experience in recruiting young professionals participated in the session. Six young professionals were given the opportunity to share their experiences and to talk directly with employers. The exchange provided valuable insights for both parties.
Several important conclusions emerged from the discussions: • There is a need for one central place where young professionals can find vacancies, such as an online vacancy bank. • Employers can be more transparent about career opportunities and are encouraged to be more creative with their staffing to create new growth paths. • Better communication between employers and potential candidates is essential to attract and retain talent.
