Bonaire Chamber of Commerce Inspires Young Entrepreneurs During the Buki di Pret Holiday Program

Once again, this year, the Bonaire of Chamber of Commerce enthusiastically participated in the Buki di Pret holiday program. Fifteen primary school students, aged 9 to 13, took part in an interactive workshop centered around the theme “My Own Mini Business: From Idea to Success!”

In a fun and educational way, the children were introduced to the different legal business structures and the role of the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce. They also learned about the key qualities of successful entrepreneurs, including creativity, curiosity, focus, alertness, and taking responsibility.

To conclude the workshop, the students worked in two groups to develop their own business concepts. They created a company name, logo, and slogan, developed their ideas, and presented their businesses to the rest of the group. Through this exercise, they demonstrated that they were able to apply the knowledge they had gained during the workshop.

The Bonaire Chamber of Commerce believes it is important to introduce the younger generation to the opportunities that entrepreneurship offers from an early age. By inspiring children and making entrepreneurship accessible in an engaging and practical way, the Chamber hopes to encourage them to further develop their talents, ideas, and entrepreneurial mindset.
