Event for Starting Entrepreneurs Organized by the Center for Entrepreneurship (CvO)

On Friday, July 11, the Center for Entrepreneurship (CvO) organized an inspiring event for starting entrepreneurs with the theme ‘Starting and Growing’. The goal of the gathering was to inform, inspire, and connect beginning entrepreneurs.

Mr. Gaby Felix delivered a motivational presentation in which he highlighted the key focus areas for new entrepreneurs. Topics included creating a solid business plan, building a network, financial planning, and the importance of perseverance.

After the presentation, participants had the opportunity to engage in conversation with experienced entrepreneurs. In this interactive session, the starters could ask their questions and receive valuable tips and insights from professionals who have already walked the entrepreneurial path.

New this year was the introduction of a strip card for starting entrepreneurs. With this card, they can schedule up to three (3) individual appointments with an experienced entrepreneur of their choice to further discuss their plans, challenges, and growth opportunities. In this way, CvO promotes continued support and in-depth guidance after the event.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bonaire (KvK Bonaire) has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to develop an entrepreneurship program to support starting entrepreneurs in developing their business and creating a sustainable enterprise. This program aims to help entrepreneurs better understand the kind of support they need and the skills they need to develop to build a viable business. Free assistance can be provided in areas such as financing, knowledge, permits, and taxes. Skills can further be developed by making use of vouchers for training, courses, and coaching.

The event was well attended and was considered highly educational and motivating by those present. CvO looks back with satisfaction on a successful gathering and remains committed to supporting (starting) entrepreneurs in their growth and development.
