Final session of successful HR month of the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce

On Friday, May 30, 2025, the final information session of the HR month of the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce took place, entitled ‘Conducting Bad News Conversations’. The closing session was given by Judith Brekelmans of Teams and was attended by approximately 20 participants. The aim was to provide tools for effectively conducting bad news conversations within organizations.
Judith Brekelmans discussed the preparation, execution and follow-up of bad news conversations. Important points included the correct intonation, choice of words and the importance of empathy and calm during the conversation. The importance of a good reference was also emphasized, so that employees can receive the necessary support after the conversation.
The session was very interactive, with many participants sharing their own experiences and asking questions. This resulted in valuable discussions and practical insights.
The Bonaire Chamber of Commerce thanks Judith Brekelmans for her contribution, as well as Lucas Drissen of HBN Law & Tax, and all participants for their active participation during the HR month. The sessions were experienced as very valuable, with practical tips that the participants can apply in their own work.
