Successful workshop CBS Caribbean Netherlands ‘‘From Data to Insight: How do you use data and where can you find it?’
On Tuesday 25 and Wednesday 26 March, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) Caribbean Netherlands gave a successful workshop in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bonaire (KvK Bonaire). The theme of the interactive workshop was ‘‘From Data to Insight: How do you use data and where do you find it?’’, the participants were very enthusiastic about the valuable insights and practical tips and tools that they were able to gain.
During the workshop, the participants learned about the importance of data and how to implement it in their organization, so that they can base policy even better on facts instead of opinions. Topics discussed:
- Introduction to CBS and insight into the figures they have available
- Collecting and combining data
- Gaining insights and how to apply them
- How to include data in policy
- How to use data for evaluation policy
- Where and about what can the data from CBS Caribbean Netherlands StatLine be found
- How to use StatLine and what is possible
The Chamber of Commerce looks back on the workshop with satisfaction and will continue to work to organize sessions that are of added value for all types of companies and organizations that are registered in the Trade Register.
