KvK Bonaire inspires MBO students through business structure and entrepreneurship workshop

The Bonaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KvK Bonaire) recently organized an informative workshop for MBO Level 3 welfare students, providing them with valuable knowledge about business structures and the opportunities that entrepreneurship can offer as a future career path.

During the workshop, students learned about the different legal business forms available to entrepreneurs and gained insight into the steps involved in starting and operating a business. The session was designed to encourage young people to explore entrepreneurship as a viable option for their future.

In addition, students were introduced to the Center for Entrepreneurship (CvO) program, which offers guidance, coaching, and support for aspiring entrepreneurs. The program can help young people develop their business ideas and navigate the process of establishing their own enterprise.

Through initiatives such as this workshop, KvK Bonaire continues to demonstrate its commitment to educating and empowering the island’s youth. By providing information, practical knowledge, and access to support programs, KvK Bonaire aims to raise awareness of the many opportunities available through entrepreneurship.

According to the Director of the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce (KvK Bonaire), Phar Martha, parents traditionally sent their children to school with the goal of encouraging them to eventually secure a good job. However, the idea of pursuing an education with the aim of becoming a successful entrepreneur often received far less attention.

For this reason, KvK Bonaire remains committed to organizing workshops that inform, inspire, and guide young people. Through these initiatives, they are better prepared to take advantage of the opportunities that entrepreneurship offers and to actively contribute to Bonaire’s economic development.
