Information session increase in statutory minimum wage & WML Helpdesk
On June 11 and 13, the Chamber of Commerce Bonaire, in collaboration with the RCN Social Affairs and Employment unit (SZW) and the Public Body of Bonaire (OLB), will organize information sessions for employers about the increase in the statutory minimum wage as of July 1, 2024. During this information session, the WML helpdesk and a calculation tool for employers will be launched.
Following the signed cooperation agreement between the Public Entity of Bonaire (OLB) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bonaire (KvK), it has been agreed to set up a “Helpdesk WML” to support entrepreneurs.
The aim of this is to provide entrepreneurs with more insight into the possible consequences of the increase in the statutory minimum wage (WML) on their business operations. This allows entrepreneurs to take appropriate measures in their business operations in a timely manner without this leading to excessive price increases.
To start, the Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the RCN SZW unit and the OLB, will organize the following information sessions this month where the increase in the statutory minimum wage as of July 1, 2024 will be discussed. What effect does this have on your organization, what requirements do you need to meet and how can you see, via a calculation tool, what effects the increase will have on your organization? Entrepreneurs can register for an information session for free.
After this, entrepreneurs who deem it necessary to receive a more in-depth explanation of the calculation tool will have the option of receiving more intensive support through 1-on-1 sessions.
