You can still register for the information sessions about minimum wage increases on Thursday, June 13, 2024

The first information sessions about the increase in the Legal Minimum Wage (WML) took place on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The morning and evening sessions in Papiamento, Spanish, Dutch and English were attended by approximately 30 entrepreneurs. It is still possible to register for the sessions on Thursday, June 13.

The collaboration between the Chamber of Commerce and the OLB was strengthened by the presence of the RCN Social Affairs and Employment unit, which provided information during the information sessions about the increase in the minimum wage, compensation for employers and all related labor matters. During the sessions, the Chamber of Commerce discussed the calculation tool in detail in addition to information about the ‘Helpdesk-WML’. Entrepreneurs can use these to gain better insight into the effects of the WML increase on their salary costs and their overall business.

After the presentations, there was room for the entrepreneurs to ask questions to the Chamber of Commerce, SZW and the OLB. Two more sessions will be held on Thursday, June 13, a Dutch/English session in the morning from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and a Papiamento/Spanish session in the evening from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
