Chamber of Commerce provides inspiring entrepreneurship workshops for MBO level 2 and 3 students at SGB Bonaire
As part of the entrepreneurial behavior curriculum, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KvK) Bonaire recently organized three interactive workshops for MBO level 2 and 3 students at Scholengemeenschap Bonaire, Secondary Vocational Education,(SGB). These sessions were part of the subject “Citizenship and Entrepreneurship” and aimed to introduce young people to the world of entrepreneurship in an accessible and engaging way.
During the workshops, key topics were covered such as identifying opportunities, developing an entrepreneurial mindset, and taking the first steps toward starting a business. Students were encouraged to ask questions, pitch ideas, and collaborate on solutions to real-world business challenges. Theory was alternated with practical examples to help students envision what it truly means to be an entrepreneur.
It is essential that young people not only learn about entrepreneurship in the classroom but also connect with the practical side and draw inspiration from real-life experiences. When you show young people at an early stage that entrepreneurship is a realistic and exciting option, you not only provide them with knowledge, but also with confidence and motivation.
The Chamber of Commerce remains committed to inspiring and motivating the youth of Bonaire to pursue their dreams. Entrepreneurship offers young people the opportunity to take initiative, assume responsibility, and contribute positively to their local community. With these workshops, the KvK hopes not only to impart knowledge, but also to spark a passion for entrepreneurship that can grow into real ambition.
The collaboration with SGB is considered highly valuable, and both parties look forward to continuing their joint efforts to support the personal and professional development of Bonaire’s youth.
