Successful ‘WAW’ Event of the Center for Entrepreneurship for Startups

On Friday, November 22, the Center for Entrepreneurship (CvO), part of the Bonaire Chamber of Commerce and Industry, organized an inspiring workshop called ‘Unshakeably Confident’.
This workshop was attended by 38 starting entrepreneurs who receive guidance and support through the CvO program.
The workshop was provided by Mingli Chung of Ki Connect (Aruba) and Roosje van der Hoek of LOF BV (Bonaire).

The goal of the session was to support starting entrepreneurs in their personal and professional growth.
The focus was on questions such as: Who are you as an entrepreneur? How confident are you? And how do you deal with fear of entrepreneurship?
During the workshop, the participants worked with their personal ‘Growth Book’ to gain insight into their entrepreneurial skills and increase their self-confidence.

The day was concluded with a session called ‘bundling forces’, in which the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions and receive valuable advice from seven successful entrepreneurs from Bonaire.
There is no actual structured entrepreneurial network on Bonaire. The CvO will therefore create a network in which starting and successful entrepreneurs can meet and help each other through meetings and events.

The intention is to make this a structured approach in which successful entrepreneurs can also take on a “mentor role”.
The KvK would like to express its gratitude to the entrepreneurs who shared their knowledge and expertise: Sapphira Coffie, Gaby Felix, Jonathan Croes, Huub Groot, Alvin Obersi, Moudy Dabboussi and Ab Dral. Their contribution made this inspiring and valuable day complete.

The Bonaire Chamber of Commerce has been commissioned by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) to develop an entrepreneurship program that supports starting entrepreneurs in developing their business in order to realize a viable business.

With this event, the CvO continues to commit itself to supporting startups on their way to a successful future as an entrepreneur.
